Welcome to Burning Hand Art! I am located in beautiful Sedona Arizona. I specialize in pyrography, so you will find most of my pieces begin with wood as the canvas whether it is a large wall piece, jewelry or a functional decorative bowl. These are all woodburned by hand with watercolor and acrylic paints added after the burning process. Some pieces are enhanced with gold leaf, silver leaf or natural stones. You will also find some pieces made of materials other than wood as I find my inspiration in many places.

About the artist:

Theresa Power grew up in Hollywood Florida and moved to Sedona in 2002. Her love for art began in kindergarten when she fingerpainted for the first time and has continued to create ever since.
 Although she works in many different mediums, she fell deeply in love with wood burning and the creative possibilities working with wood permits. Adding watercolor and other materials allowing the wood grain to remain visible only enhances the natural beauty of the original wood piece.

 Each piece is created in her home studio in Sedona AZ.
