Working on a gallery-wrapped wooden panel, I layered 24k gold leaf and oil paint across several transparent textiles, including fine silk and organza. This unique process allows light to filter through the surface, creating an ethereal glow that makes the dreamy figure and her surrounding roses appear almost illuminated from within.
